Detailed Perfection:

Innovative Manual Soldering At Productronica 2009 with Hot-Beam-04

Wessling, September 2009. In time for the leading electronic assembly exhibition, productronica 2009, MARTIN presents a dynamic new development for rework soldering: Hot-Beam-04 is a further advance on the established Underheater Hot-Beam-03. The concept arose from the extraordinary demands in rework: there is an additional display function as well as a new software program “Easy Beam“ to make its operation even easier. The Hot-Beam-04 combines contemporary design with the newest technology. Users are not only assured of absolute reliability and optimised process control but also simplified operation.

Visual Process Control

The Hot-Beam-04, in comparison with its forerunner Hot-Beam-03, has an additional display. Users can assess data and profile settings with just a glance and easily optimise and control the rework process. All settings can be simply adjusted at the unit. MARTIN, having combined modern soldering technology with ease of use, proves once again to be a reliable partner in the rework process.

Easy-Beam – Reliable Software

Powerful Underheaters need equally powerful software. With Easy Beam MARTIN has achieved the targeted adaptation to the requirements of professional rework of electronic assemblies. The underlying data of the rework process are from now on immediately visible in table format, editable and, transferable. All saved rework profiles are always protected and can be easily transferred.

Little Sister, Big Brother

A Hot-Beam is in good company: The Underheater Hot-Beam-04 finds itself between the little sister Hot-Beam-03 and the big brother Hot-Beam-05. The whole family is very respectable: the Underheaters are specialists for boards from quite small to very large, ie for manual soldering users have available to them up to 2kW of power. MARTIN’s patented Rapid-IR Technology ensures that printed circuit boards are heated to a desired temperature at a permitted maximum rate. A precise profile permanently controls temperatures and reliably maintains them. Result: shorter processes and reliable quality, while continuously protecting components.

Relaxed Work Atmosphere

The extremely robust Hot-Beam series, developed for demanding applications, promises successful manual rework. Thermally complex processes, particularly manual soldering with extremely variable heat capacities, are carried out without any worries with the Hot-Beam-04.

MARTIN GmbH
