Hot Beam 05 from MARTIN

Clever Underheater ensures stress free manual soldering

The very robust Hot Beam 05 from MARTIN, developed for demanding applications, promises beginners as well as experienced reworkers successful manual repair. Thermally complex processes, ie manual soldering with widely varying solder tip temperatures, can be carried out comfortably by using the Underheater Hot Beam 05.

Gentle Rework Process

Users of this equipment, which is the 'bigger brother' of the well established Hot Beam 04, can relax as such features as integrated, very powerful 2 kW Underheater with 4 individual controlled IR zones makes the Hot Beam 05 especially suitable for the pre heating of very large printed circuit boards (PCBs). The unit delivers up to 50 % of the required heat from below. This ensures gentle temperature application to component and printed circuit board, while keeping soldering tip temperatures as low as possible.
The patented MARTIN Rapid-IR technology lifts PCBs to the permitted temperature at the maximum allowable rate of increase. For the controlled and reliable maintenance of temperatures precise temperature profiles can be applied. This results in shorter processing times and reliable quality while protecting components.

Clear and Easy Menus

Users of the Hot-Beam-05 benefit from a clear menu structure. Relevant information is summarised, grouped together and smoothly guides through the process. The unit offers up to 11 process programs for the controlled heating in auto mode. The use of a thermocouple is only required when setting up a profile - thereafter more effective working without it saves expensive working time and increases productivity.

Microscopic Accuracy

An optional accessory, the MARTIN Stereo Zoom Microscope, is available, if required, to easily deal with even the tiniest SMD components. The microscope produces unusually sharp, 3 dimensional views and is an ideal complement for precision rework of the smallest components.

MARTIN GmbH

The MARTIN GmbH, headquartered in Wessling near Munich, has been designing, manufacturing and selling rework and dispensing equipment for the repair and assembly of small and pilot series of electronic boards for over 26 years.
