Precision Dispensing Nozzles

For the consistent control of all process parameters the handling of the materials is just as important as taking into account the environmental and equipment features, mentioned above.

When filled materials are propelled through a long hollow needle or syringe tip there is a real chance that solids are separated from the liquid.  This results in blocked nozzles and inaccurate dispensing.  A very short conical exit path, as realised with the MARTIN metal nozzles, prevents separation and blockages.  Beneficial side effects of this design are considerably reduced processing pressures and longer operating windows for the materials. Only by combining suitable nozzle geometry and making adjustments for environmental conditions can solder paste be dispensed down to dot diameters of 0.15mm (nozzel diameter 0,14mm and super fine pitch 6 solder paste).

The distance between the dispensing tip and the contact surface is different for each nozzle type and must be kept as constant as possible from one dot to another.  MARTIN metal nozzles can be equipped with distance pins for mechanically maintaining optimal gaps.
